Booking the City of Oxford Silver Band

We perform at public and private events all year round.

We perform regularly at fêtes, concerts and other public and private events.

Recent examples include The Sheldonian Theatre, SJE Concert Hall, the Oxford Half Marathon, the Oxford Christmas Lights Festival, Oxford United Football Club, Blenheim Palace, Oxford Botanic Garden, BBC Countryfile Live, Cowley Road Carnival, Oxford Open Doors, Ashmolean Museum, the Florence Park Festival and Village fêtes at Cuddesdon and Garsington.

We can provide a full-size brass band or a smaller ensemble of any size for weddings, parties and other private events.

Oxford Castle

A huge Thank you to the City of Oxford Silver Band for recently supporting Sobell House at Templars Square in Cowley. The music was incredible and so many people stopped and listened, it was brilliant. They also played such a wide variety of numbers. It was great that a local community charity like Sobell House was supported in such a wonderful way by a group of very talented musicians.

We thoroughly enjoyed the bands enthusiasm, and sincerely thank them all for giving up their time in aid of the hospice (on the night and in regards to the time everyone put in to practising!). They were fantastic! We loved the way they interacted with the audience. Moreover, they were professional to work with before, during and after the event. A great addition to any event.

The COSB played at our Christmas concert last year and were fantastic. A great festive repertoire and very friendly. Very pleased to have them again next year.

We have been fortunate enough to work with the Silver Band a couple of times in the past year. On the first occasion, they came and played outside the church for our Community Open Day in September 2019, providing a wonderful welcome to the event, and a great atmosphere. We were so impressed that we invited them back to play in a Leap Year concert for us on - of course - 29th February 2020. They did us proud, with a great selection of music which was much enjoyed by an enthusiastic audience. I very much hope that they will play for us again in the future.

Once again the City of Oxford Silver Band gave a great performance at the Wheatley Christmas Fair. Booking them was really easy and they were self-sufficient on the night. You can't have a Christmas event without having a Silver Band. We would highly recommend them.

It has been a pleasure over the past four years to welcome the City of Oxford Silver Band as part of the annual Oxford Open Doors event. They are always a huge hit with the many visitors who come each year and with such talented musicians they help bring a great atmosphere to the city across the weekend. Oxford Open Doors wouldn't be the same without them now.

Members of the Band have been coming to the Dorchester on Thames Remembrance for many years (at least ten) They are always very reliable and provide us with a professional performance on such an important day for our village. The young bugler this year was quite exceptional.
